Eastern Cape’s Grey High and Selborne College have kept the best for last, when they face each other on the Phillip Field at Grey High School in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.
The rivalry between these two sides began as early as 1926. Since 1975 they have played each other 45 times over the last 40 years, with Grey leading the race with 26 wins the biggest being 62 – 3 in 2006. Their biggest defeat came in 1994, 6 – 50.
Both teams will unfortunately field under strenght sides, with Grey being without three of their star players in Curwin Bosch (flyhalf), Khwezi Mafu (eighthman) and Kamva Dilima (lock), while Selborne will be without David Brits (centre) who are all included in the SA Schools squad.
