Round 10 of Queensland Premier Rugby kicks off this Saturday, with the south-side clash between Easts and Souths at David Wilson Field as the Game of the Round.

Saturday’s match is sure to attract a sizeable crowd to Tigerland.. 2017 marks the Tigers’ 70th anniversary, and many former club greats such as Denis Owens, Shaun Hourigan, Tim Stoddart and Nigel Holt will no doubt be out in force cheering on the Premier Grade side as the club host their Old Boys Day celebrations.

The Easts v Souths game will be streamed LIVE and FREE via Facebook LIVE and www.redsrugby.com.au.

The secondary live stream game will see Wests welcome GPS to Sci-Fleet Stadium, as the Bulldogs host their Ladies Day celebrations. This match will take place under lights, with kick-off scheduled for 5:10pm. The game will be streamed via www.redsrugby.com.au.

The other two matches will see University of Queensland host Norths at St.Lucia, while Sunnybank will head south to the Gold Coast to face Bond University at Robina. These matches will kick-off at 3:20pm.

Easts v Souths – David Wilson Field, 3.20pm – Game of the Round LIVE Streamed 

This weekend’s Game of the Round will see Easts host Souths at David Wilson Field. The last time the two met, Souths were victorious 29-26. Currently, only five points on the table separate the two teams, with Easts in sixth position and Souths in eighth. In recent weeks, Easts have challenged competition leaders UQ and GPS, losing by only four points in both fixtures. However, Easts will need to be extremely cautious of Souths and their ability to score tries from any position on the field. Wests v GPS – Sci-Fleet Stadium, 5.10pm – LIVE Streamed

The Bulldogs host the Gallopers at Sci-Fleet Stadium on Saturday in a much-anticipated clash. Eight points on the ladder separate the teams with GPS firmly in second spot while Wests sit in fourth position. In Round 5, the Gallopers defeated the Bulldogs after the buzzer, earning a penalty try after multiple scrum infringements. Since then, Wests have shown impressive form beating Souths, Easts, Bond University and narrowly losing to Norths. Bond University v Sunnybank – Bond University RFC, 3.20pm

Bond University will host Sunnybank at Robina on Saturday. Bond will be desperate to get themselves off the bottom of the ladder and get their season back on track after a tough loss to the Red Heavies last weekend. Sunnybank are coming off an impressive 49-19 win over Brothers last weekend and have an opportunity to challenge GPS for second place. Bond’s desperation and the momentum gained by Sunnybank is the perfect recipe for a heated encounter this weekend.

University of Queensland v Norths – St.Lucia, 3.20pm

The Red Heavies host the Eagles at Stade de Heavy on Saturday and will undoubtedly enter the clash as favourites. The last time the two sides met it was a high scoring fixture with UQ claiming a 54-34 win. Norths won’t be short on confidence when taking on the front runners after recording an inspiring 37-33 upset victory over Wests last weekend. Defence will be the key for Norths, as they attempt to contain a potent Red Heavies backline.
