Queensland Premier Rugby Preview – Round 2
Queensland Premier Rugby returns tomorrow for Round 2 of the 2017 season, with four great matches on offer for grassroots Rugby fans.
The game of the round will see Sunnybank host Norths at Oldmac Oval. This match will be LIVE streamed via www.redsrugby.com.au as well as the Queensland Premier Rugby and Queensland Reds Facebook pages.
The match between University of Queensland and Souths will also be LIVE streamed.
A number of St.George Queensland Reds will be in action across the weekend, including backrower Caleb Timu who continues his comeback from injury for Souths and lock Cadeyrn Neville who will start for Bond University in their first home match for the year.

GAME OF THE ROUND: Sunnybank v Norths, Oldmac Oval, kick-off: 3:20 pm – LIVE STREAM GAME
The Game of the Round will see Norths travel to Oldmac Oval to face Sunnybank, hungry to bounce back after their Round 1 loss to Bond. Sunnybank will be determined to claim a win as well, after a 29-all draw with Souths in Round 1, despite holding a 15-to-13 player advantage late in the match. This Game will be live streamed via redsrugby.com.au and Facebook LIVE.

University of Queensland v Souths, St.Lucia, kick-off: 3:20 pm – LIVE STREAM GAME
The university of Queensland will be confident heading into their first home game of 2017, off the back of their 57-17 win over Wests in Round 1. However, they’ll be up against one of only two sides to get the better of them in 2016 – Souths. The Magpies are coming off a tough draw with Sunnybank where they were left with only 13 players on the field at one point. This Game will be live streamed via redsrugby.com.au and Facebook LIVE.

Bond University v GPS, Bond University RUFC, kick-off: 3:20 pm
Bond University will host GPS in Round 2 after beating Norths at the Eagles’ Nest to start the season. Bond and GPS tussled in fifth & sixth position on the Premier Rugby ladder late last season, and an early win for either team could assist with their finals hopes towards the business end of 2017. The match will be GPS’ first under new head coach Anthony Mathison, having had the bye in Round 1.

Brothers v Wests, Crosby Park, kick-off: 5:15 pm
Brothers will look to get their title defence back on track this week as they host Wests at Crosby Park. The Brethren fell short against Easts last week suffering a 28-19 loss. Wests will also enter into the match after a tough 57-17 loss to UQ at the new look Kennel. Both sides have had a number of key personnel changes in the off-season and will be hungry to firm their new combinations before the competition for ladder placings heats up.
