Returning players bolster DHL WP U19
DHL Western Province U19 have been boosted by the return of three players from injury, ahead of their clash with the Xerox Golden Lions U19 at Emirates Airline Park on Friday.
Coach Nazeem Adams’ unbeaten team, will be looking for their eighth straight win of the season and second against the Xerox Golden Lions U19, when they travel to Johannesburg for a match which kicks off at 12h30 on Friday.
In the backline Tristan Leyds returns to take his place at fullback and Cornel Smit is back at inside centre, after featuring off the replacements bench last week.
The only changes to the forward pack see Cobus Wiese return to play at lock, whilst hooker Matt Wiseman is also back from a spell on the sidelines, with Shane Farmer providing cover from the replacements bench.
Adams said that although his team is yet to lose, they will be taking nothing for granted against the Xerox Golden Lions U19.
“We have gathered some good momentum in this campaign, but the players know that we can be a lot more accurate than we were last week.
“We will have to raise our standards further against a dangerous Xerox Golden Lions U19 team, that will be determined to beat us on their home turf,” he said.
