The charge against David Mele of Leicester Tigers RFC for stamping or trampling, contrary to Law 10.4(b), was heard at Coventry Holiday Inn this evening. The player pleaded guilty.

David Mele was sent from the field by referee Wayne Barnes in the Premiership match between Leicester Tigers RFC and Bath Rugby on Saturday 20th September for stamping and/or trampling on his opponent in the 77th minute.

David Mele was given a one week ban beginning the 23rd September 2014. He is free to play again on 30th September.

The panel, chaired by John Brennan comprised of Peter Howard and Nigel Stelling.
