Ricky Januarie starts for Stormers against Waratahs
Springbok scrumhalf Ricky Januarie will make his first Super 14 start for the Stormers this year when they take on the Waratahs at Newlands on Saturday.
Coach Allister Coetzee on Thursday named a team that shows a couple of changes from that which won their opening match against the Lions last week.
Januarie will start ahead of Dewaldt Duvenage, who regularly kept the Bok No.9 out of the starting XV in the Currie Cup last year and also started ahead of Januarie in Johannesburg last week.
Argentinean tighthead Eusebio Guinazu has also been selected on the bench.
This follows a shoulder injury that has ruled out loosehead Wicus Blaauw, necessitating the elevation of JC Kritzinger to the starting line-up. The Stormers coach, Coetzee, decided to include specialist cover on the bench, in the form of Guinazu, ahead of a utility prop like JD Moller.
Following their 26-13 victory over the Lions in Johannesburg last week, the Cape franchise return home to Newlands for a five week home run, starting on Saturday.
