SA Rugby names Dell EMC as official IT equipment partner
SA Rugby on Tuesday welcomed Dell EMC to their family of sponsors, with the IT equipment giant committing to supporting the Springboks and SA Rugby with equipment for the next three years.
SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux said he was delighted to welcome on board a major global player in the IT equipment market such as Dell EMC.
“Rugby has become a highly technical and computerised sport at the professional end of the game and to have the best possible equipment for teams and operations is critical,” said Roux.
“We are delighted to have partnered with one of the biggest and the best to look after all our equipment requirements for the next three years. Technology evolves at an incredible pace and to have Dell EMC partnering us in this area is of major importance to us.
“They are a global brand with an outstanding reputation for quality and delivery and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”
Doug Woolley, GM of Dell EMC South Africa, said the partnership was an exciting new venture for the South African arm of the company.
“We are very honoured to be associated with the Springboks and SA Rugby,” said Woolley.
“The team is a national asset and we’re excited to be partnering with them to provide the long-term value they need to grow and thrive. This is an exciting time for the Springboks. The Rugby World Cup in Japan is just 18 months away and we want to play our part in that journey.”
Dell EMC will begin supplying SA Rugby immediately with the well-known logo due to appear in the Springbok coaches’ box once the International season starts in June.
