SA Universities team to face Namibia
The Welwitschia rugby team of Namibia will be in action in their first of two matches against South African opposition when they take on the SA Universities at 4pm (SA time) on Saturday at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek.
These matches are part Namibia’s preparations to qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2015 in England. Next week they travel down south to Stellenbosch for a friendly international against the South Africa Under-20 team on Saturday, 11 May 2013.
The encounter against the Junior Springboks, coached by Dawie Theron, will take place at the Paul Roos Markötter Stadium and will be the highlight of the Junior Boks’ training camp for the IRB Junior World Championship 2013. The SA U20’s assemble on Sunday in Cape Town for a week-long training camp.
Maties flanker Helmut Lehmann will skipper the SA Universities while the home team will be led by number eight PJ van Lill.
