Sharks opt for Alberts over Kankowski
Sharks coach John Plumtree has named his side to face the Crusaders in the second Super Rugby qualifier on Saturday 25 June in Nelson, New Zealand. Plumtree has made only one change to the run-on side that beat the Bulls at Loftus a week ago.
With wet, windy and cold conditions predicted for the match on Saturday, Plumtree has opted for the more direct and physical approach at the back of the scrum with Willem Albert replacing the nippy and versatile Ryan Kankowski. Kankowski drops to the bench.
The only other changes to the match 22 are on the bench where Plumtree has also decided to bank on experience rather than youth with Jacques Botes and Eugene van Staden replacing the youngsters Marcell Coetzee and Wiehahn Herbst respectively.
