Simon Hardy leaves RFU
Simon Hardy will leave the RFU in the summer after 22 years of service to England Rugby.
Hardy has been involved with a number of England teams as a forwards or specialist coach over the past 18 years.
He was involved in England’s senior side that won the 2003 RBS 6 Nations and Rugby World Cup, four Churchill Cup successes with the Saxons and more recently three World Rugby U20 Championship titles.
As part of his specialist coaching role he has mentored a number of England international throwers from Richard Cockerill in 1998 through to current England hookers Luke Cowan-Dickie and Jamie George.
Simon Hardy said: “Throughout my time with the RFU it has been exciting and rewarding. I feel lucky to have experienced so much success and to have worked with such incredible players and coaches. I look forward to using these experiences in future challenges.”
