Springboks assemble in Cape Town
The Springbok squad have assembled in Cape Town on Sunday to resume preparations for the first Castle Lager Incoming Test match against Ireland. The opening match of the Test series, consisting of three matches, will be played on Saturday 11 June at the DHL Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
Springbok coach, Allister Coetzee, and flank Francois Louw addressed the media shortly after the squad assembly. Coetzee said he was looking forward to resume preparations after a productive week in Stellenbosch.
Talking to the media at the team hotel in Cape Town, Louw – who is one of three overseas-based players who have joined the squad on Sunday – said he felt especially grateful to be back in the national setup. Prop Steven Kitshoff and No 8 Duane Vermeulen also joined the Bok on Sunday.
