Steal Pumas injury report and game stats after Leopards clash
Steval Pumas vs Leopards
Head coach of the Steval Pumas, MJ Mentz is happy with his team’s performance this weekend in Potchefstroom after their 31-23 victory over the Leopards.
“It was quit important for us as a squad to get back into a winning streak after two unnecessary defeats against the Lions and Bulls,” he said. “Friday afternoon’s match started on a high with players like Jaco Bouwer, Uzair Cassiem and Jason-Colin Fraser really impressing with their performance. The forwards did well to keep the Leopards under pressure in both scrums and line-outs. Here I must give credit to Rudi Mathee and Frikkie Spies,” Mentz continued.
“For the backs it was JC Roos (fly half) and JW Bell (full back) who fought hard to keep the opposition at bay. Roos dictated the game with his technical kicks and his accurate goal kicking, although his missed two attempts at goal,” Mentz said.
The only concern for the Steval Pumas is a serious knee injury to Jason-Colin Fraser, but a full medical report will be given on Monday.
This week the team will work hard for their last league encounter against the Hino Valke in Nelspruit, 24 April @ 19:00.
Points this weekend by:

Leopards:
