Steinlager Series sells out – fans can buy tickets for Investec Rugby Championship
Fans who want to see the All Blacks this season get their chance to buy tickets for the Investec Rugby Championship Tests in two weeks.
New Zealand Rugby today announced the public sale dates for the three domestic Tests in the 2016 Investec Rugby Championship when the All Blacks take on Australia in Wellington, followed by Argentina in Hamilton and South Africa in Christchurch.
By the time of kick-off on Saturday 25 June at the final Test of the Steinlager Series, more than 110,000 fans will have seen the All Blacks up close.
“The All Blacks like nothing better than playing in front of a full house so we’re really pleased so many fans have taken the chance to see the team take on Wales in the Steinlager Series,” said Steve Tew, New Zealand Rugby Chief Executive.
“Given the demand we’ve seen to date I urge fans to get in quick to make sure they get the seats they want for the Investec Rugby Championship.”
Team All Blacks members can take advantage of a pre-sales period which begins next Monday, 20 June. Fans can join up at www.teamallblacks.com.
This weekend more than 35,000 fans will pack out Westpac Stadium in the second Test of the Steinlager Series with 2,000 temporary seats added to meet demand.
Stadium Trust Chief Executive Shane Harmon said: “We’re thrilled the full house sign has gone up for the Wales test on Saturday and look forward to repeating it in August for the Bledisloe.”
The following weekend, 29,000 will fill Forsyth Barr Stadium to its maximum capacity for the final Test. It’s the first Test in the city for two years and the first time it’s hosted Wales.
DVML CEO Terry Davies is thrilled at the sell-out news. “The south has shown once again how much they love their rugby and selling out two weeks before the game is a great result.”
