Steval Pumas coach Brent Janse van Rensburg said the mentality at the moment is just not calm enough. “There are a lot of positives that one can take out of the game but we need to be more clinical and our error rate is unfortunately too high. There were moments of brilliance in the match. We showed great intensity, great physicality, sometimes really good in the set piece.”
However, there were too many soft moments he said.
“Again throwing balls on the deck, aimless passes. We had to try-scoring opportunities that we are coughing up every time. We just aren’t patient with the ball in hand. We don’t execute. The Falcons scored a number of tries due to our errors. The players really have to start realizing that patience with the ball in hand is absolutely vital,” said Janse van Rensburg.
