Steval Pumas medical report 12th September 2016
Several Steval Pumas players are sitting out training today due to injuries picked up during the game against the Vodacom Blue Bulls this past Saturday. Here is the injury report from physiotherapist Luzahn Louw.
New injuries:
• Marne Coetzee has a tear to his groin muscle and will have a follow up on Wednesday.
• Marlou van Niekerk will have a scan today for an injury to the peroneal tendon in his ankle.
• Devon Williams is being evaluated for a hamstring strain.
• Renaldo Bothma has a contusion on his calf and will go for a scan today.
• Wiehan Hay is visiting the doctor today for inflammation (plantar fasciitis) in his heel.
• Francois Brummer is doing limited training with an injury to the AC joint in his shoulder.
Other injuries and returning players:
• Kevin Luiters picked up a bruised knee against Boland on 2 September. A management plan is being decided today.
• Francois du Toit is visiting the chiropractor today for a bruise to the sacroiliac joint in his lower back.
• Khwezi Mona is doing limited training with his ankle sprain and will have a clearance test today.
