Steval Pumas medical report 29 August 2016
Despite a bruising encounter with Griquas this past Friday, the Steval Pumas have not been severely affected by new injuries. Here is the team’s injury report following the match.
New injuries:
• Hennie Skorbinski picked up a hamstring strain and has been directed not to run until he has been cleared.
• JP Lewis is also being evaluated for a hamstring strain.
• Louis Albertse suffered a knee contusion and has a small fluid cyst. He is not running or doing contact training while awaiting feedback from the doctor.
Update on other injuries:
• Justin van Staden will be out for 3-4 months after surgery on his fractured toe.
• Reynier van Rooyen is still wearing a brace for his MCL tear and will have a follow up with the doctor on 7 September.
• Heinrich Steyl is being integrated back into training following his shoulder lesion and hamstring strain.
• Stephan Greef is back to full training (with rehab) after his shoulder contusion.
