Steval Pumas team to take on the Xeros Lions
Match: Steval Pumas vs Xeros Lions
Venue: KaNyamazane Stadium
Date: 4 June 2016
Kick-off: 15:00
Like in 2013, the Steval Pumas will take another professional rugby match to the neighbouring stadium in KaNyamazane. The Sharks XV were the first rugby team to visit the area and most rugby enthusiasts in the Lowveld are still talk about their experience.
It will be a cat fight between coach MJ Mentz ‘s Steval Pumas and the Xerox Lions Saturday at 15:00. Mentz named his starting 22 line-up for the clash. One of the biggest changes to the team is the Super15 lock, Giant Mtyanda who is back for some game time. Mtyanda, who is on loan to the Cell C Sharks, was sent back to the Lowveld by coach Gary Gold for some game time.
“We had one of our training sessions at the KaNyamazane Stadium today and I’m very impressed with the pitch conditions. I predict a fast running game. Giant’s return to the squad brings a new vibe to the team and his experience is worth a lot. In the same breath, his return gives us an opportunity to rest some of our players,” Mentz commented.
Tickets of R20/adult and R10/scholar includes a free park-n-ride from Riverside Mall on Saturday. The service will start from 12:30 at the Government Complex. Tickets are available from all Computicket outlets and at the stadium gates on the day.
