Teams named for Cystic Fibrosis Crusaders Charity Cricket match
Crusaders past and present will face off in a cricket match for charity this Sunday. The event has been running for over 30 years to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis NZ.
Justin Marshall, who played for the Crusaders between 1996 and 2005, will captain the ‘Crusaders Past’ and has named a side of former Crusaders teammates. The ‘Crusaders Present’ team is being managed by Israel Dagg and captained by Mitchell Drummond. Dagg has selected a mix of first year Crusaders and more experienced players.
The first ball is due to be bowled at 11am at Christchurch Boys’ High School this Sunday and the event will run until approximately 3pm. There will be entertainment for all the family, with an activity area including segways, a bouncy castle and face painting, plenty of food and drink on offer, and a chance to meet some of your BNZ Crusaders heroes – old or new!
