“The team showed tremendous character against SWD last week, especially the forwards. They were up against a heavy pack but stuck to their guns and really gave it their all and I was very pleased with the way they came back at the end. Most importantly was our defence, we had a 97% tackle rate which we’re very happy with – we only missed four of our 119 tackles – and parts of our attack were very good.

“Boland are a team we’ve struggled against in the past. Last year we went down narrowly to them down there so we’re looking to turn the tables this weekend. Being at home helps us in that regard, we haven’t lost too many games at home in the Vodacom Cup so that counts in our favour.”
