Toyota Cheetahs face Glasgow Warriors in Scotland
The Toyota Cheetahs will be taking on the log leaders, Glasgow Warriors on Friday, 16 February at 21:35 (SA time) at Scotstoun Stadium. The match will be broadcasted live on SuperSport 1.
This is the Toyota Cheetah’s first and only visit to Scotland this season. The two sides met in Bloemfontein in round 6 with Glasgow handing the Toyota Cheetahs their only home defeat of the campaign so far.
“Glasgow is obviously a quality team who have proven that they are tough to beat on their home turf. This week we have made some exciting changes to the line-up that we believe suit our style of play intended for this weekend.” said coach Rory Duncan.
- Malcolm Jaer replace Sibhale Maxwano, with Luther Obi providing cover on the bench
- Niel Marais moves to the starting line-up, sending Fred Zeilinga to the bench
- Charles Marais moves to the starting line-up, sending Ox Nche to the bench
- Luan de Bruin replaces Aranos Coetzee; Coetzee will be providing cover on the bench. Tom Botha picked up an injury and is on his way back home.
- Reniel Hugo replaces Rynier Bernardo on lock
- Henco Venter moves to the starting line-up, sending Paul Schoeman to the bench
The following players are not eligible for team selection due to injury:
William Small-Smith (knee), Dennis Visser (knee), Tian Meyer (groin), Niell Jordaan (ankle), Elandré Huggett (knee) Ruan van Rensburg, (knee), Lloyd Greeff (shoulder), Tom Botha (calf).
The team will be travelling back to Wales next week where they will be taking on Ospreys in Swansea at 19:30 (SA time) before returning home for the match against Connacht.
