If being part of history isn’t enough reason to make your way down to Toyota Stadium this Saturday for Toyota Day, then how about winning a share of a cool ten grand on the way?

As part of the action-packed day planned at the stadium, the first ever Toyota Warrior Sprint Race in Bloemfontein will take place on the outside fields, with the best time on the day earning the men’s and women’s winner a R5 000 pay check each for competing.

And, while the adults are competing for the cash prize, the kids can take part in the Toyota Warrior Kids race, with the champions earning the rare honour of leading the Toyota Cheetahs onto the field later in the day. Entry is free for both the adults and kid’s races.

On a day of firsts, where the first Guinness Pro14 match will be played in South Africa, Toyota Day promises to entertain one and all, and give everyone who makes their way down to the stadium a fun-filled and action-packed day that they are sure to remember.

“Toyota day is more than just a day at the rugby, it is a day where families can enjoy an outing together, listen to some great music and support their team in an environment that is fun and memorable for everyone.”

As proud sponsors of the Toyota Cheetahs, Toyota have made sure that all the tickets for the game are free to the public, and have lined up some spectacular entertainment around the stadium to suit every fan’s tastes. Gates open at 2pm.

From the inspiring vocal range of The Voice winner Richard Stirton to local favourite Arno Jordaan belting out some great tunes at the stage on the hockey fields, to the gourmet food trucks that will craft some awesome Italian and South African specialities for fans, there is something for everyone.

The Toyota Cheetahs will hold a signing session as well, while OFM will do a live broadcast from the stadium, as things get festive in the Castle Beer Garden. The event area will close at 7pm so that fans can move over to the stadium by the 7.30pm kickoff.

And added to that, if you own a Toyota there is a free and secure parking area for Toyota vehicles adjacent to the stadium

“Toyota have always understood that the Toyota Cheetahs family needed a partner more than a sponsor, someone we could become family with and that has been the basis of our relationship over the years.

“Toyota Day is a natural extension of that partnership where our fan base can enjoy something unique that few other teams worldwide offer – that Toyota Cheetah spirit, camaraderie and fun all wrapped into a day that they can identify with and with tickets for free, there is no cost involved either,” Kobus Le Roux of the Toyota Cheetahs Rugby Union said.

Find that warrior spirit and head down to Toyota Stadium this Saturday to be part of history. There are more than enough reasons to be part of Toyota day this year.
