The Board of directors of the Free State Cheetahs (Pty) Ltd and the Free State Rugby Union normally does a thorough evaluation of all activities on a quarterly and annual basis.

The last Absa Currie Cup season didn’t go according to plan and a more intensive evaluation process will have to be conducted.  Focus will fall on all aspects of the company’s activities and all role players will be involved.

The Company and the Union has a very professional approach towards all its activities and is disappointed in the last Absa Currie Cup season. The Directors and council members however felt that certain aspects of the operations of the company are not professional enough and will be evaluated.

We will especially look at the team matters, medical aspects as well as the general management and marketing of our product.  We will also make use of SARU’s expert services.

Free State Rugby Union will take a new look at the contributions and support of all the stakeholders.

The process has already begun and will now be taken further and be completed as soon as possible so that the team management and players can focus on the Super Rugby tournament.
