The Toyota Free State Cheetahs will be facing the Tafel Lager Griquas in a Currie Cup home game on Saturday, 12 August.  Kick-off is at 15:00.

Coach Rory Duncan has announced his team for the encounter.

Changes to the team:

  • Charles Marias will be starting as number 1 prop, with Ox Nche providing cover on the bench.
  • Armandt Koster will be replacing Justin Basson on lock.
  • Ryno Eksteen will be replacing the injured Niel Marais.
  • JW Jonker will be replacing William Small-Smith
  • New on the bench:  Chris Dry (replacing Junior Pokomela) and Sergeal Petersen

The referee for the game is Quinton Immelman.  He will be assisted by AJ Jacobs and Anevuyo Fakade.  The TMO is Marius Jonker.

The world of the oval ball may be traditionally dominated by men, but SA Rugby will celebrate Women’s Month this year by partnering with Caring4Girls to donate sanitary products to disadvantaged women, while females will be allowed free entry at selected Currie Cup matches.

In conjunction with the Currie Cup unions and sponsors Nashua and DirectAxis, would like to encourage rugby fans to support the Caring4Girls initiative by donating sanitary products at the Currie Cup match on Women’s Day, on Saturday, 12 August, in the collection boxes at the stadium entrances.

As a special treat for the fairer sex, all women will be granted free access to the Toyota Free State Cheetahs clash against Tafel Lager Griquas in Bloemfontein.   Female fans have to collect these tickets before match day from the ticket office in Toyota Stadium.

Ticket prices: Main Stand – R70 for adults and R30 for kids.  Open Stand – R50 for adults and only R10 for kids and students.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.fscheetahs.co.za or at the Ticket office at Gate 8 (Att Horak Avenue) at Toyota Stadium.
