Toyota Free State Cheetahs vs Steval Pumas
Niell Jordaan will be leading the Toyota Free State Cheetahs when they take on the Steval Pumas in Mbombela on Wednesday, 9 August. The game kicks off at 15:15.
Coach Rory Duncan has announced his team for the encounter.
Changes to the team:
- Ox Nche will be replacing Charles Marais in the starting line-up. Marais will be providing cover on the bench.
- Joseph Dweba moves to the bench, while Jacques du Toit makes his comeback after a long injury.
- Aranos Coetzee will be starting at number 3 prop.
- Niell Jordaan will be taking over the captaincy from Francois Venter who has been included in the Springbok squad for the Castle Lager Rugby Championship.
- Henco Venter will be replacing Oupa Mohoje (Springbok squad).
- Jasper Wiese will be making his Currie Cup debut on no.8. He will be replacing Uzair Cassiem (Springbok squad).
- William Small-Smith will be moving to outside centre while Ryno Benjamin moves to the starting line-up replacing Francois Venter.
- Junior Pokomela and JW Jonker are new on the bench.
