The Ulster squad to play Glasgow in Saturday’s final regular season home game has been named (kick-off 6.05pm at Kingspan Stadium).

The rearranged Guinness PRO14 Round 17 tie, originally due to be played last month but cancelled due to adverse weather, will be another crucial challenge as the Ulster men continue to fight for a place in the Championship Final Series, while also aiming to solidify fourth place in Conference B.

Supporters are reminded that tickets purchased for the original fixture remain valid.

As the team strive to follow up wins over Edinburgh and Ospreys, Head Coach Jono Gibbes has confirmed that Iain Henderson will captain the side from the second row, with Alan O’Connor given the nod for the number 4 jersey.

In the front row, loosehead prop Andy Warwick and hooker Rob Herring come into the starting lineup alongside Ross Kane.

Last week’s Man of the Match Matthew Rea is ruled out by injury so Nick Timoney is brought in to start at blindside flanker, with Sean Reidy and Jean Deysel continuing at openside and number eight respectively.

There is just one change in the backline as Luke Marshall is selected to join Stuart McCloskey in the Ulster midfield.

The back three of Jacob Stockdale, Louis Ludik and Charles Piutau remains in situ, as does the half-back partnership of John Cooney and Johnny McPhillips.

Paul Marshall and Tommy Bowe, who are to retire at the end of the season, could make their final home appearances from the bench, with Irish U20 star Angus Curtis in line to earn his maiden cap.

Rory Best is named among the forward replacements along with Kyle McCall, Tom O’Toole, Kieran Treadwell and Clive Ross.
