CURRIE CUP QUALIFIER: New loose trio for Vodacom Blue Bulls

Vodacom Blue Bulls coach Hendré Marnitz named a new loose trio for his side’s Currie Cup Qualifying tournament match against the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias at Loftus Versfeld on Friday.

Freddy Ngoza will start at no8, with Abongile Nonkontwana moving from lock to the side of the scrum and Tapiwa Tsomondo wearing the no6 jersey.

Aston Fortuin will move in the lock position where he will partner Ruben van Heerden.

Tony Jantjies is also back at flyhalf, with Junior Springbok midfielder JT Jackson coming into the team.

Kick-off is at 17h00.

The team is: Divan Rossouw, Jade Stiglingh, Marquit September, JT Jackson, Alcino Isaacs, Tony Jantjies, Andre Warner, Freddy Ngoza, Abongile Nonkontwana, Tapiwa Tsomondo, Aston Fortuin, Ruben van Heerden, Martin Dreyer, Alandre van Rooyen, Njabulo Gumede. Replacements: Jan-Henning Campher, Justin Forward, Eli Snyman, Jsuan-re Swanepoel, Ivan van Zyl, Joshua Stander, Ganfried May.

 

UNDER 19: Pienaar names Under-19 team to play Leopards

Vodacom Blue Bulls under-19 coach Jaco Pienaar named Manie Libbok at flyhalf when he named his team to play the Leopards in Pretoria on Friday.

The home side will be looking for a fifth win on the trop against the Potchefstroom side yet to register a victory in the Under-19 Provincial Championship.

The team is: Andell Loubser, Sentle Lehoko, Heino Bezuidenhout (c), Erich Cronje, Irvin Ali, Manie Libbok, Jason Olivier, Dylan van der Walt, Adriaan Burger, Eduan Lubbe, Hendre Stassen, Marius Verwey, Tiny Mukhari, Johan Grobbelaar, Simphiwe Matanzima. Replacements: Franco Botha, Gerhard Steenekamp, IG Prinsloo, Erik Groenewald, Vic Meyer, Jordan du Preez, Boeta Hamman, Lourens Steenkamp.
