Vodacom Blue Bulls named for quarterfinal clash against iCollege Pumas
The Vodacom Blue Bulls will travel to Nelspruit to contest the SuperSport Rugby Challenge quarterfinal against the iCollege Pumas on Saturday, 30 June.
Kickoff is at 12:30.
Vodacom Blue Bulls head coach, David Manuel, has made several changes to the team with Boom Prinsloo continuing in his role as captain.
Junior Springbok, Ruan Nortje, starts at lock while Xolisa Guma makes a welcomed return on the right wing.
The front row has been tweaked to include props, Dewald Maritz and IG Prinsloo, who will make their first appearances in the competition for the men from Pretoria.
Newly signed loose forward, Tier Schoeman, could make his debut for the Vodacom Blue Bulls should he get game time off the bench while prop, Dayan van der Westhuizen, could make his SuperSport Rugby Challenge debut off the wood as well.
“We are very excited for this match. We understand that this is a once off game and that we are the underdogs which is a tag that we are happy to carry,” explained Manuel.
“We have several new faces in the team especially up front and the players are raring to go. As usual, we are trusting our processes come match day,” he said.
