Vodacom Blue Bulls ready for SWD
The Vodacom Blue Bulls coach Handré Marnitz on Wednesday named an unchanged backline to play SWD Eagles in George in a Currie Cup qualifier on Friday. The team will be looking for a fourth consecutive win in the competition, but will be without Marvin Orie and Roelof Smit from last weekend’s win over Hino Valke. Orie has been called up for Vodacom Super Rugby duty, as was Smit.
Ruben van Heerden and Nic de Jager has been named as their replacements, with Aston Fortuin and Tapiwa Tsomondo named on the bench in their place.
Kick-off is at 19h00 at Outeniqua Park and the match will be televised by SuperSport.
The team is: Divan Rossouw, Kefentse Mahlo, Dan Kriel, Marquit September, Jade Stiglingh, Tony Jantjies, Andre Warner, Hanro Liebenberg (c), Nic de Jager, Ruan Steenkamp, Abongile Nonkontwana, Ruben van Heerden, Entienne Swanepoel, Jan van der Merwe, Nqobiziswe Mxoli. Replacements: Alandre van Rooyen, Andrew Beerwinkel, Aston Fortuin, Tapiwa Tsomondo, Ivan van Zyl, Tinus de Beer, Alcino Isaacs.
