Vodacom Blue Bulls to visit local clubs
The Vodacom Blue Bulls will once again return to the local club rugby scene when they visit QBR, Eersterust and Westelikes in July/August 2019 as the union continues to give back to Pretoria’s rugby community.
The initiative was so successful last season with thousands of supporters of both the Vodacom Blue Bulls and the local clubs turning up to experience the coaching clinic and to interact with the Vodacom Blue Bulls’ management and players that the decision to do it again in 2019 was an easy one.
Willem Strauss, President of the Blue Bulls Rugby Union, explained that the relationship between the union and its clubs is an important one and that giving back to the community forms the cornerstone of the initiative.
“We saw last year just how much value the community places on these visits as there were thousands of supporters that come out to be a part of the afternoon. They enjoyed the coaching clinics, lined up for autographs and photos while the players and management had a great time as well.”
“Club rugby has been revived in South Africa over the last few seasons and continues to grow from strength to strength. The dream of playing for the Vodacom Blue Bulls often starts at club level and we need to foster this relationship as our next star could be within the club rugby ranks.”
Vodacom Blue Bulls’ local club visits 2019:

Eersterust: 29 July 2019 (16h00-18h00)
