Vodacom Blue Bulls U19 draw but advance to the SA Rugby U19 Championship final
The Vodacom Blue Bulls U19 drew 27-27 (half-time 10-19) with the Xerox Golden Lions U19 in the SA Rugby U19 Championship Inland Section final at Emirates Airline Park on Friday afternoon.
The Inland Section final proved to be a test of character as the Pretoria juniors played catch up rugby from the first whistle before scoring their fourth try with the conversion leveling the scores.
They put to rest a successful Inland Section campaign after beating the Valke U19 (80-10) before silencing the Toyota Free State Cheetahs U19 (55-17)
The Vodacom Blue Bulls U19s advanced to the main SA Rugby U19 Championship final because they outscored their Gauteng neighbours four tries to two.
They will face the winner of the Coastal Section in the SA Rugby U19 Championship final with the match details to be confirmed in due course.
