Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21’s ready for final
The Vodacom Blue Bulls Under-21 team will be in full force for final of the SA Rugby Provincial Under-21 Provincial Championship on Saturday in Durban, where they face DHL Western Province at 13h00.
The bench has been bolstered by the inclusion of Johan Grobbelaar and Aston Fortuin, who played with the senior side in last weekend’s Currie Cup semifinal in Durban.
Coach David Manual was excited about the final push to glory for his side.
“We have played well all season and have been consistently delivering good performances. The real test will be this weekend though and if we do not make play true to form and potential, the result will not come and our efforts will not be justified. So we need to be at our best.
“DHL Western Province also played some excellent rugby and showed with their performance last weekend that they are peaking at the right time. We are looking forward to the challenge.”
The team is: Divan Rossouw, Xolisa Guma, Stedman Gans, Franco Naude, Andell Loubser, Tinus De Beer, Embrose Papier, Denzel Hill (c), Jaco Bezuidenhout, Eduan Lubbe, Eli Snyman, Marius Verwey, IG Prinsloo, Jan-Henning Campher, Gerhard Steenekamp. Replacements: Johan Grobbelaar, Franco van den Berg, Aston Fortuin, Rickert Korff, Joshua Allderman, Kurt Webster, Heino Bezuidenhout
