Vodacom Free State Cheetahs focused ahead of clash with Bulls
Vodacom Free State Cheetahs Coach Naka Drotske confirmed earlier today that the Cheetahs are ready and focused ahead of the clash with the Bulls on Saturday. The Cheetahs have a tough draw in the early part of both rounds of the Currie Cup competition – and are very pleased to have come away with victories away from home against Western Province and the Griquas!
These victories could however only be given more significance if the Vodacom Free State Cheetahs continue these successes at home! The Currie Cup Competition in 2010 has proven that any team can beat another on the day – and that home ground advantage is now guaratee for success.
Part of the success for the Vodacom Free State Cheetahs have been intensity on defense – and this is something that would be needed against a confident Bulls side coming from a victory over front runners, the Sharks. The Vodacom Free State Cheetahs have been immense on defense against both Western Province and Griquas – and this could well be seen as a sign of a team where players are playing for one another!!
Assistant Coach Hawies Fourie believes that the Bulls are a proud team that manages well to play to traditional strengths – and they stick to a winning formula that works for them. Both teams know one another very well and the individual strengths and weaknesses of individual players. Good decision making will be key to victory at Vodacom Park on Saturday!
The match on Saturday could be an epic clash between these strong rivals the past few seasons. As the Currie Cup nears the end of the competition it becomes even more important to maintain winning momentum and secure home semi-finals!!
