WP to meet Border in U18 Girls finale
Western Province will meet Border in the final match of the SARU Under-18 Girls Week at Glenwood High School in Durban on Friday after winning their opening two matches to remain the only unbeaten sides in the tournament.
Western Province registered emphatic 64-0 and 74-0 victories in their opening matches against SWD and the Golden Lions respectively, while Border defeated Zimbabwe 27-0 and Free State 61-0 to establish themselves as the top teams in the competition.
Their senior Women’s Interprovincial teams have also been among the top women’s sides in the last two seasons, with Border in particular having won back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014.
In the other main match-ups on the final day’s play Zimbabwe will meet SWD, while hosts KwaZulu-Natal will line up against Eastern Province.
