WRAP OF EP GRAND CHALLENGE MATCHES – Aug 1
PE SAPS retained their unbeaten record in the EP Grand Challenge this year with a hard-fought 26-12 win over Kruisfontein at Kemsley Park on Saturday (August 1).
The police side led 14-0 at the interval and managed to stay ahead in the second half to register an important victory.
Park got back onto the winning track when they produced a solid display, scoring five tries to comfortably beat Harlequins 39-16 at Londt Park.
Gardens also had a good win, dousing the spirit of the impressive Trying Stars outfit to win 34-24 at Rosedale.
The weekend’s scores were: PE SAPS 26 Kruisfontein 12, Park 39 Harlequins 16, Gardens 34 Trying Stars 24, Progess 34 Crusaders 14, Windvogel 56 African Bombers 18, NMMU Madibaz 63 Spring Rose 15.
