Xerox Golden Lions team named
Welwitschias vs Xerox Golden Lions (Hage Geingob Stadium, Kick-off: 15:00)
The Xerox Golden Lions have made a few changes to their side that will travel to Namibia to take on the Welwitschias on Saturday with the veteran Derick Minnie getting his first start.
Minnie replaces Robert Kruger while MB Lusaseni has also been included together wih Justin Ackerman.
“We not only disappointed our fans we disappointed ourselves when we lost against Border last weekend. We have to rectify it and that is why the bulk of the players will get another opportunity this weekend.
“It is good to have senior journeymen like Derick and MB back in the side as they bring a maturity to the side that is very important,” said coach Bafana Nhleko.
Among the backs JW Bell starts in his first official game for the Lions and Ricky Schroeder replaces Dillon Smit at scrumhalf who is out due to injury.
New faces on the bench include Bobby de Wee, Victor Sekekete and Ashlon Davids.
