Zebre Rugby Team Announcement
Parma (Italy), March 22, 2019 – Zebre left Parma this morning for Ireland ahead of tomorrow night’s game in Limerick in the Guinness PRO14. The competition restarts this weekend after the last two rounds of the Six Nations. The Italian Rugby Union managed franchise was able to call on all the Italian internationals selected by Italy for the 2019 tournament, except Castello, who underwent surgery on his left leg fractured against England at Twickenham two weeks ago.
The nine Azzurri will all start from the first minute in the match against Munster, who are second in the standings in Group A which also includes the Italian franchise.
After two months, Lovotti and Padovani are back in the squad. The fullback will earn his 70th cap with the XV of the Italian North-West after three tries with the national jersey – and will start together with 3 other former Azzurri – Boni, Giammarioli and captain Biagi.
Munster will be looking for a win to potentially gain first place in the group, while the Parma-based side is looking for the win missing in the Guinness PRO14 since late October 2018.
On the bench many new faces are selected by coach Bradley, with the return to the squads of the Italian international backs Bellini and Violi, both recovered from their respective injuries aiming for a positive season finale. There is a first ever selection for the Italian-Argentine tight-head prop Ciccioli, arriving in Parma last week from Buenos Aires Club Atletico San Isidro.
